It's been three days since Dresden arrived and she seems to be settling in quite well. She's also putting on some weight, no worries she still has her girlish figure.
Since the weather has been quite nice the past few days, I've been taking her out for long walks/runs. She's so friendly, she wants to meet everyone that comes by. She's met alot of dogs on the walks and she gets so excited to play with someone of her own size, (Sorry Xena those 5 whole lbs of you aren't made for rough and tumble).
Dresden also met the little boy that comes over to play. I was a little apprehensive as first, but Dresden was so good. Even with the high energy in the room, Xena going coo coo for Coco Puffs and the boy running around, Dresden totally kept her cool. We were really proud of her. Oh and I totally forgot to mention she's started to pay attention to her name, can sit and lay down and is working on "come". Our next step is to teach her to fetch, I really want to see her just let loose and run. But I'm a little hesitant to just let her off the leash still and want to find a doggie park that's enclosed so she can run around.
Well that's part of today's update. Going to start the fetch training today and see how that goes. She's a smart cookie though so I think she'll get it pretty soon.
