The first day

So today is Charlotte's aka Dresden's first day at the Oberoi-Williams home. We got up at 6:00 and went for a 45 min jog/run which she seemed to enjoy. Though she barely broke a pant. I have the feeling that if she had a place she could really let loose and run she'd go from 0 to 60 in 1.5 seconds.
She's great at staying right at your heels, with very minimal pulling on the leash.

After that she had quite the appetite for breakfast which she ate in her crate. She's not thrilled about staying in there, but doesn't complain about it. Lucky for her Jaan was home all day today and could keep an eye on her and Xena so she didn't have to be crated.

She's so affectionate and is quite happy. A good indication of that is when she's lying down her tail keeps wagging till she dozes off. She and Xena are playing some funny version of tag, with Xena of course not playing fair by jumping from sofa to sofa like she's a Cirque de Soleil acrobat not letting herself be caught. Plus I think she likes the height advantage.

Overall it's been great having her as a new addition and I can already see that letting her go will be tough. But as long as she goes to a great forever home it's all worth it.

Here are some photos we took of Dresden the first night she arrived. As you can see she's a beautiful girl. More photos to be updated as the days go by!
